barack has picked up quite a few endorsements recently, many of them from republicans. here’s a sampling:

fifteen newspapers just last weekend alone (plus The New Yorker as of yesterday)
the brady bill people
the republican governor of michican sort of withdrew his endorsement of mccain

and this one, while not an attempt at humor on the part of mccain, struck me as incredibly funny. when john lewis, the highly respected (even revered) congressman from georgia, sharply rebuked the republican campaign for its vicious and unfounded attacks on barack obama, a very miffed john mccain called on OBAMA, not LEWIS to apologize. not firing on all cylinders there john, are you?

not that lewis is the only one who has a problem with the hatemongering going on at mccain rallies — quite a few republicans have condemned the campaign’s approach.

and the ever-disrespectful Rude Pundit weighs in with what joe biden should’ve said to sarah at the debate. [warning: strong language!]

last but definitely not least, betty white offers to shtup obama on the late show:
